Romeo Morrisey, Program Manager

Romeo H. Morrisey, Program Manager responsible for homeland security training and the supervision of related grant funded programs. Morrisey joined the University of Tennessee in August 2003 after serving with the US Army in several locations including the Pentagon, Washington DC on September 11th, 2001.

Morrisey is a retired Colonel with twenty-seven (27) years of command, leadership, supervisory, and police experience with the Army Military Police Corps and Special Operations Forces units in the United States and several overseas countries. Morrisey's command experience in law enforcement was in police operations, police investigations, traffic investigation units, K9 units, and as the Deputy Provost Marshal (Assistant Chief). As a special operations forces officer, he served in counterintelligence and information operations units and on assignments in several overseas locations. As Director for Homeland Security Training, Morrisey orchestrates the research and analysis of homeland security training needs, and the development and facilitation of certified homeland security curricula and courses for law enforcement, both locally and nationally.

Morrisey has an undergraduate degree in Social Science Education from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Additionally, Morrisey holds a master's degree in Criminal Justice from Webster University, and a master's degree in National Security and Strategic Study from the National Defense University.
