Jennifer Benson, Coordinator

Jennifer Benson joined the Law Enforcement Innovation Center in September of 2006 as a Forensic Program Coordinator. With this position, Benson assists in the coordination of the National Forensic Academy, a ten week training program designed for crime scene investigators, as well as coordinating 40 hour traveling courses across the county. Benson also works closely with alumni of the National Forensic Academy.

Prior to LEIC, Benson worked in the hospitality industry, coming from the Hilton Knoxville, Downtown as a Sales Manager. There she worked closely with the University of Tennessee, assisting a variety of departments with meetings, conferences, & blocks of guest rooms. Prior to working for the Hilton, Benson worked in the mental health field. She worked as a Program Counselor for Peninsula Village, working with adolescent girls in a locked down unit. After this, she worked as an Adult Case Manager for Helen Ross McNabb. Benson holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Tennessee.
