SECLA Session Nine
Applications for the Ninth Session of the SECLA are currently being accepted. Since only twenty-five (25) individuals are selected, applications should be submitted promptly. SECLA prepares mid and upper level supervisory personnel for the increased responsibility of administrative command positions by providing them with the knowledge and skills necessary for successful leadership in their agency and community.

Class Size

Certification
Attendants may earn up to 12 hours of undergraduate credit or 6 hours of Master's level credit through the University of Tennessee Chattanooga. These credits will transfer to any institution of higher education and count toward criminal justice degree requirements.
Session Nine Training Schedule
The SECLA training schedule has been changed to incorporate on-line technology. The LEIC has worked closely with the University of Tennessee Chattanooga to convert two weeks of the SECLA curriculum to on-line. This change means that two weeks of lodging and classroom instruction have been eliminated and allow even more flexibility for our students and the organizations that represent them. Please keep in mind that our students must be given appropriate time to complete their on-line assignments.
July 13-24, 2009:
The first two weeks, students will be housed in University of Tennessee Chattanooga Dormitories.
August & September 2009: on-line
October 12-16, 2009: SECLA Hotel
November/December 2009: on line
January 25-29, 2010: SECLA Hotel
March 1-5, 2010: SECLA Hotel (Graduation)
Tuition
$4,000.00 (In-State)
$5,000.00 (Out-of-State)
$3,500.00 (Commuter, no housing)
This fee includes housing (double occupancy, Sunday - Thursday evenings) and all course materials, and campus parking. Meals are not included.
Additional Fees
Undergraduate and Graduate Fees: $900.00
