Transit Terrorist Tools & Tactics

The Transit Terrorist Tools & Tactics (T4) (DHS-certified) course teaches transit security, local law enforcement , government officials, private security officers and others how to respond to the threat of a terrorist attack in a mass transit environment. This course has been designed by subject matter experts to meet the unique security challenges faced by transit workers.

T4 aims to be as realistic as possible by taking the course ‘on the road’. The course is taught on-site in the host city. This three-day course is hands-on, performance based training. It includes a practical exercise that allows participants to actually use specific types of technology. T4 also incorporates behavioral assessment and security planning to offer a well-rounded training experience.

It is suggested, but not required, that participants complete a basic WMD/CBRNE awareness course prior to attending T4. For those who have not attended any WMD/CBRNE courses, valuable information that will help you prepare for T4 can be found here.

To register for T4, you must complete the registration form. Please be sure to include the Training Code for your region. If you have not been given a Training Code, please see your agency's training officer.

The content of the T4 course has been designated FOR OFFICIAL USE ONLY (FOUO). This course contains information that may be exempt from public release under the Freedom of Information Act (5 U.S.C. 552).
