Mission Statement

CCIT

The Law Enforcement Innovation Center is addressing the need for cybercrime training through the Center for Cybercrime Investigation Training (CCIT). The mission of the CCIT is to provide law enforcement with the best tools and resources available to assist with identifying, collecting, preserving, and analyzing evidence from a wide array of criminal activity involving computers, the Internet, and other types of digital media.

In order to fulfill this mission, the CCIT will better serve local and state agencies by:

  • Utilizing current practitioners in the field of cybercrime
  • Establishing a network of alumni to enhance collaboration across jurisdictional boundaries
  • Striving to keep course content relevant and current
  • Using a blended group of experts who are involved in law enforcement, network security, and computer forensics
