Lori Ungurait

Consultant

Lori Ungurait began her career with the University of Tennessee in 2000. She manages the School Safety Education Programs under the LEIC. With ten years of experience in this role, her primary focus is administering the variety of training programs and statewide conferences offered to Tennessee’s K-12 schools. The LEIC offers an assortment of training programs throughout the year based on prevention research and school safety initiatives recommended by the U.S. Department of Education. These programs are a partnership with the Tennessee Department of Education's Safe Schools & Learning Support Center in its statewide initiative to ensure that all of Tennessee's youth have a safe and disciplined learning environment.

Before joining School Safety in February 2000, Ungurait worked as a program manager for the PENCIL Foundation facilitating partnerships between local business and schools within their community. Prior to PENCIL she worked for Tennessee Technological University where she was an instructor in the Entrepreneurial Training Program.

Ungurait received her Bachelor of Science in Marketing from Tennessee Technological University.
