Mike Hill

Mike Hill began his career with the University of Tennessee in 1998 and brings considerable experience in law enforcement to the LEIC and the LEIC's Regional Community Policing Institute (RCPI). During his 18 years with the Germantown (Tennessee) Police Department, Hill served as a Patrol Officer, Detective Division Lieutenant, and Assistant Director of Training.
As the Director for the RCPI and LEIC Program Manager, Hill manages the law enforcement and community training services and ensures our customers are receiving the types of US Department of Justice training and information necessary to help them plan, organize, and manage change. Hill also manages regional facilitators and the development of new products for regional law enforcement and government officials as well as citizens and community agencies. In addition, Hill manages the seven week Southeastern Command and Leadership Academy (SECLA) as well as other Leadership and Executive Training Programs within the LEIC. He also seeks out and welcomes new local, state, and federal partnerships in law enforcement agencies and associations, criminal justice programs, and public safety practitioners who share the common thread of improving the quality of life in all communities.
Hill holds a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the University of Memphis and is a graduate of the Northwestern University Staff and Command School.
