Description
Pay Grade 41 - The purpose of this Oak Ridge-based position is to plan, coordinate, promote, administer, and facilitate a full range of training courses and services related to the Law Enforcement Innovation Center (LEIC). Activities will include marketing, planning, and delivering training programs, and creating new training initiatives. Further responsibilities include coordinating event logistics, budgets, public relations, program evaluation, strategic planning, and managing grant funded training activities. The incumbent will cultivate new collaborations with federal/state government, University of Tennessee departments, regional community policing entities, outside universities/colleges, and law enforcement agencies. Extensive travel in- and out-of-state will be required.
Qualifications
A Bachelor’s Degree in public administration, political science, human resources development, or criminal justice is required. Three years of work experience with an appropriate combination of customer service, adult education, and/or training is required. Applicant must possess a broad understanding of local government operations, policy issues, law enforcement, and the overall government decision-making process. Incumbent must have good oral, written, and analytical skills, and be proficient in various computer applications. The position is located in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. A valid driver’s license is required. This position is a limited duration position for up to one year.
